2018 Favorites!

Can you believe this year is almost over?! 2018 has seemed like the shortest and longest year ever – in the best and worst ways. For me it’s been a year of healing old emotional wounds, which can be magical and painful at the same time. Gemini probs, you know?

Without further ado, here are some of my 2018 faves!

Favorite Podcast: Highest Self Podcast with Sahara Rose

This is all I’ve been listening to at work for months now! Sahara is an Ayurvedic wellness guru and has some super interesting people on her podcast – everyone from Deepak Chopra to astrologers, Shamans, and doctors. If you love holistic self-improvement and spirituality, you’ll love listening to her.

Favorite Book: The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo

This might be one of the best books I’ve ever read that isn’t a Harry Potter book. It’s a star-crossed modern love story spanning decades (starting on 9/11) that will rip your heart out in the best way. Honestly, I can’t shut up about this book. It’s so beautiful and relatable. It’s also the first time I’ve ever read love scenes that didn’t make me cringe from being overly cheesy or overly gross. Prepare to cry.

Favorite Herbal Supplement: Organic Olivia Tinctures

You know I love me some Organic Olivia. Everything she makes is magical! This year she came out with an entire line of tinctures including Liver Juice, Mood Juice, Peace Juice, Brain Juice, Digestive Juice, and Sleep Juice. I’ve been using Brain and Liver Juice for months and recently added Mood to the mix. They’re wonderful, especially Liver and Mood. My face is noticeably clearer thanks to Liver, and Mood definitely does what it says and makes you less moody.

Favorite Local Restaurant: Big Easy

If you’re around the OKC area, make the drive into Yukon and get some Big Easy! They have some of the best Cajun food you’ll ever eat. I’m a fan of the crawfish tails, crawfish étouffée, and hush puppies.

Favorite Makeup Product: Fitglow Beauty Lip Serum

I’ve mentioned this before in another post, but it’s worth mentioning again. If you really want to treat yo’ self, splurge on this gem. It’s the most moisturizing and non-sticky lip product you’ll ever find. Plus, it’s organic!

Favorite Essential Oil: Gentle Baby

What prompted me to try out an oil targeted toward moms and babies? I’m not sure, but it’s amazing! I use it in my baths a lot and also enjoy putting a few drops on our dryer balls. It’s a blend of some of my fave scents like rose, geranium, and jasmine.

Favorite Bath Salts: Target Beauty Himalayan Sea Salt & Sage

Have you checked out all the cute holiday gift displays at Target? Because there is a hidden gem in the form of $3 epsom salts. I wish they came in giant bags because I never want to use another bath salt again. As usual, Target can do no wrong.

Favorite Hair Product: Kristin Ess Beach Wave Spray

Another magical Target find. I’d seen Kristin Ess’ products for a while thanks to Lucy Hale’s Instagram, but never thought to try them out until I wanted some new things to take with me when I visited my cousin in LA. My fave by far is her Beach Wave Spray. It smells amazing and helps define my curls without making them crunchy.

Favorite Clothing Purchase: Betabrand Yoga Work Pants

Shoutout to Worsham for buying me these as an early Christmas present! I hate wearing pants, especially work pants, but these are just as comfy as your fave pair of yoga pants. I’ve only had them a few days and I already want to throw out every other pair of work pants that I own. I’m never going back.

Favorite Jewelry Purchase: Gemini Constellation Necklace from A Little Bird

After my monogram necklace broke, I decided to treat myself to a new necklace from A Little Bird on Etsy. I got the Gemini constellation necklace and am very impressed with the quality! It’s dainty and perfect for every day.

What are your faves from this year?
